Health Systems Reservation Transition: EMS to Tririga
Updated Spring 2026
Due to limited resources, Health Systems has retired its EMS reservation platform and is moving all Health Systems room bookings to IBM-Tririga, a campus self-service reservation system. Health Sciences will continue to use the EMS to reserve events and rooms.
During the transition, Facilities and Space Information Management (FSIM) is assisting briefly with event‑management tasks, while its primary focus remains on Tririga training and system support. Health Systems is identifying event managers and conference‑room owners to address scheduling needs.
For quick access, the current Tririga self-booking application is live:
- Tririga Meeting Room Reservation – For in-person groups
- Tririga Workspace Reservation - For hybrid or shared office work

What You Need to Do
- Move any of your existing Health Systems EMS bookings to Tririga as soon as possible. We’re collaborating with Health Systems IT to make this a smooth transition. Most EMS meetings have been moved to Tririga already.
- If you know who manages a Health Systems conference room or event, share your information. Complete the optional Health Systems Reservation System Questionnaire - Google Forms. We’re looking for Space Owner Contacts (SOCs) who:
- Manage a Health Systems conference room (including access codes), and/or
- Manage or approve event‑priority changes (“reservation bumping”).
How We’ll Support You
- Health Systems Reservations in Tririga are available on a first-come, first-served basis until June 30 and Health Systems standing meeting reservations are paused while space owners and event managers are identified.
- Tririga Reservations covers how to use Tririga to schedule a meeting in a conference room, schedule a shared workspace, add your space to Tririga reservations and links to other campus reservation systems.
- MediaSpace | UC San Diego - Facilities and Space Information Help (SSO required) – Log into the channel to see Tririga Reservation videos.
